NOTICE OF EMERGENCY/ SPECIAL MEETING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT AN EMERGENCY MEETING OF THE
CHARLOTTESVILLE CITY COUNCIL HAS BEEN CALLED AND SHALL BE HELD:
DATE: Wednesday, January 6, 2021, beginning at 11:00 a.m., continued to 3:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Virtual/ Electronic Meeting. Register at www.charlottesville.gov/zoom
AGENDA: The proposed agenda for this emergency/special meeting is as follows:
      I.      OPEN MEETING, to vote on a motion to convene a closed meeting, for the
              purposes listed below.

      II.     CLOSED MEETING, for:

      (i)     discussion or consideration of one or more prospective candidates for
              employment or appointment to the position of city manager and for discussion of
              the performance of the acting city manager;
      (ii)    discussion of a public contract involving the expenditure of public funds, and of
              the terms or scope of such contract, where discussion in open session would
              adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the public body;
      (iii)   for discussion or consideration of the performance of city councilors;
      (iv)    for consultation with legal counsel regarding any or all of the matters proposed to
              be discussed in the closed meeting, as listed above

      III.    OPEN MEETING to vote on the certification required by Va. Code 2.2-
              3712(D), and then to discuss and vote upon any contract, motion or action
              discussed in the closed meeting that may require a vote of the membership of
              Council.
