NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

 A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CHARLOTTESVILLE CITY COUNCIL WAS HELD ON
Friday, July 20, 2018, AT 2:00 p.m. IN THE Second Floor Conference Room AT City Hall, 605
                                        E. Main Street.

                       THE PROPOSED AGENDA IS AS FOLLOWS:

 Closed session as authorized by Virginia Code sec. 2.2-3711(A)(1), for interviews, discussion
        and consideration of prospective candidates for appointment to the position of
                                    Interim City Manager.

                SECOND FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM – July 20, 2018

        Council met in special session on this date with the following members present: Ms.
Galvin, Mr. Signer, Ms. Walker. Ms. Hill called in to the meeting from a remote location, as she
was out of the state on personal travel. Mr. Bellamy called in to the meeting from a remote
location, as he was out of the state on business travel. On motion by Mr. Signer, seconded by
Ms. Hill, Council voted, (Ayes: Ms. Galvin, Mr. Signer, Ms. Walker, Ms. Hill, Mr. Bellamy;
Noes: None) to meet in closed session as authorized by Va. Code sec. 2.2-3712 , specifically:
Virginia Code sec. 2.2-3711 (A) (1)&(3) for discussion and consideration of prospective
candidates for appointment to the position of Interim City Manager.

        On motion by Mr. Signer, seconded by Ms. Galvin, Council certified by the following
vote (Ayes: Ms. Galvin, Mr. Signer, Ms. Walker, Ms. Hill, Mr. Bellamy; Noes: None) that to the
best of each Council Member's knowledge, only public business matters lawfully exempted from
the open meeting requirements of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act and identified in the
motion convening the closed session were heard, discussed or considered in the closed session.
