Ladies and Gentlemen :

         The Council of the City of Charlottesville will hold a special meeting in open session on Monday,
July 27, at 4:00 p.m., by electronic means to consider, discuss, and take action on an emergency
ordinance to address the containment of the novel coronavirus commonly known as COVID-19.

         The following language addresses the legal requirements regarding the Freedom of Information
Act for the meeting:

         Mayor Nikuyah Walker, has called a special meeting of the Council of the City of Charlottesville
pursuant to Charlottesville City Code Section 2-42 to allow a quorum of Council members to convene an
open meeting to consider, discuss, and take action on the following: an emergency ordinance
establishing regulations to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus commonly known as COVID-19.
The electronic meeting is called for Monday, July 27, at 4:00 p.m.

No matter not specified in this notice shall be considered at this meeting except by the unanimous vote
of all Councilors.
