MINUTES

                           City of Charlottesville Electoral Board
                                Meeting of November 9, 2021

The meeting was called to order by the Chair at 6:07 p.m. on Monday, October 18 in the
office of the Charlottesville General Registrar. Those present were Electoral Board
members Jon Bright (Chair), Anne Hemenway (Vice Chair) and Jim Nix (Secretary), and
Acting Director of Elections and General Registrar Taylor Yowell.

On a motion by the Vice Chair, seconded by the Chair, the agenda was unanimously
approved without change.

Review of the minutes of the November 2-5 meeting was deferred to the next meeting.

Public Comment

No members of the public were present for this meeting.

Registrar’s Report

Ms. Yowell reported that the abstracts of votes for the November 2 election had been
approved by the Department of Elections without change.

Closed Session

On a motion by the Secretary, seconded by the Vice Chair, the Electoral Board voted
(Ayes: Jon Bright, Anne Hemenway and Jim Nix; Noes: None; Absent: None) to meet in
closed session as authorized by Va. Code sec 2.2-3712, specifically:

       Virginia Code Section 2.2-3705.1 for the discussion of personnel records
       containing information concerning identifiable individuals.

On a motion by the Secretary, seconded by the Vice Chair, the Electoral Board certified
by the following vote (Ayes: Jon Bright, Anne Hemenway and Jim Nix; Noes: None;
Absent: None)

The next meeting will be held in the office of the Charlottesville General Registrar
starting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
